Summary

We are now seeking an experienced, values-led Pub Manager / General Manager to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the premises, ensuring the highest standards of licensing compliance, food safety, customer experience and community engagement.


This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can confidently act as the bridge between customers, the local community, authorities and the owners, while creating a positive, inclusive environment where people want to spend time.

About the role


You will have full operational responsibility for:

  • compliant and well-run licensed operations;

  • food service and hygiene standards;

  • safety, security and wellbeing of customers and staff;

  • constructive engagement with Licensing, Environmental Health and Bedfordshire Police;

  • building positive relationships with the local community.


You will be supported by owners who are committed to doing things properly — not cutting corners — and who want the pub to succeed as a responsible, respected part of the town.


About you


You are:

  • an experienced hospitality manager with strong leadership skills;

  • calm, confident and professional when dealing with regulators and the public;

  • values-led, inclusive and community-minded;

  • organised, proactive and solutions-focused;

  • committed to high standards of safety, compliance and customer care.
